Never a dull moment at the Spoor residence. And here’s the proof.
1. Another wonderfully ‘tacky’ outfit was laying ready for me again this weekend, for my character from the TV series ‘De Zwarte Tulp”. When I saw that the caterer had made a chocolate fondue specially for me as desert, my day was made! Although I ended up with a gigantic after dinner dip from all the chocolate…
2. One of my favourite lunch places in Amsterdam is Brasserie van Dam. The first time I ordered my special combo (Spelt bread with ‘filet americain’ and egg-truffel salad) they looked at me a little strangely, but now it’s even on the menu! An absolute recommendation.
3. I was worried that we would have to pack our summer dresses away for good, but now it seems like summer has returned briefly: thank God. Last week I got to test my new Uggs out for a few days, and they’re like walking in slippers. That’s about the only plus point of winter weather: a new winter wardrobe and wearing Uggs with a reason.
4. On Monday I moved half of my walk-in closet (that’s a lot, read: back pain all of the next day…) to Hotel Room Mate Aitana for a Beau Monde photo shoot about my wardrobe. Stylist Danielle had bought a few more items to fill it up and the result was: a chock-a-block closet to die for…
5. This week was all about photo shoots. We filmed a crazy fashion series for Bastiaan van Schaik, in my new, still full of rubble house. The broken walls and open ceilings look gorgeous on camera, but I hope that shortly I’ll be able to post a few photos of freshly plastered walls and ceilings with built in spots…
