Sometimes the best presents come in big packages. The Outnet, a sister company of Net-a-Porter, already tagged me along to The Hamptons once.

But on Sunday they bombard me with presents from Iris & Ink. From bags to pants to suits to dresses: everything came out of one massive box. And I did a little happy dance. Thank you, thank you, the sweetest The Outnet.

The department store of ‘unaffordable’ and ‘drooling in front go the window’ also known as Barneys opened up a new location. Right around the corner from where I live. And so, together with Blue, we wandered past their window displays. I hadn’t been inside yet. Until now. My inner Dora the Explorer came out in this futuristic fashion fairytale. Everything is beautiful. Even the architecture and display inside. Their staircase! (Oh and those red sandals are at the top of my wish list…)

Back to the normal world. After Barneys we had lunch on the corner of W 11th Street in West Village. This twenty year old restaurant is an institute. Simple menu, simple seats, but, Tartine has its eternal charm. My new bag came out to play too.

On Wednesday we drank coffee at Blue Stone Lane. And on Wednesday night we went to Sant Ambroeus for desserts (I went for the apple pie by the way).

This was the week of lunch dates. Santina was on our program for Thursday. As soon as you set foot in the place you feel like you’ve left the Meatpacking District and ended up on the Italian coast. The menu is divine. Their juices are fresh. And their parasols are always colorful.

I took Blue out to get his hair trimmed. He was pretty depressed before his appointment because he knew what would be happening, but after he was done, he looked fresh and dapper: ready for the summer!
