THANKS DAPHNE

Daphne Deckers. I’ve known her for exactly ten years because she was the presenter of a programme I’d come up with for the birth of princess Amalia. And that’s exactly ten years minus a couple of days ago. From that moment on, we always knew where to find each other if we wanted to talk about something. And that’s quite often in casa Daphne. People say that Linda de Mol has success glued to her fingers (which is true, Linda is great and so much fun), though Daphne surely knows what that’s like. Better yet, can you think of something that she didn’t succeed in? I can’t. I can only think if her bestsellers, a rising career in television, Bond girl, a modeling career, and still a body which the average twenty-four year old would die for. And Daphne has got a new project now. She got to design the bracelet for TOV essentials and she did. With class, I might add. And I was chosen to receive the first copy at the Bijenkorf (such a party to have a department store with so much international allure. I mean McQueen, DvF, Céline, Gucci, Proenza Schouler). It was a small party around lunch hour in de Bijenkorf’s light hall. The Christmas tree sparkled, the glass bubbled and Daphne? She radiated. And rightfully so.
