HAPPY LARA

In marriage years she would’ve become Pearl today (or thirty years), and we think it’s time for an ode to Lara Stone. Lara turned the fashion world topsy turvy. Compared to the average in model-land, her body is curvier, her feet smaller, and her teeth… well, you know. However, she’s still on number 15 of best paid models worldwide and ever since 2007 has done: 79 ad campaigns, 58 covers, and 150 editorials. Fashion journalist Cathy Horyn compared her walk with that of Lurch from the Addams Family, Isabel Marant called her an alien and “a mix of warrior and Brigitte Bardot”, Calvin Klein called her the “girl with the X-rated lips”, and Bruce Weber compared her to Marlon Brando. We think she’s one of our best-looking export products and we can’t help but laugh when we see her Instagram account on which we can only see (oonnllyyy) photos of her dog Bert (she’s Dutch, after all) and nothing about her baby. And we think that’s incredibly cool. Corks won’t be popped in casa Stone-Walliams since Lara’s on the wagon. A glass of fresh almond milk, Lara? Cheers!
