After a second child, her own clothes label, a vintage store in the Cornelis Schuyt (which is stuffed with lovely Chanel jackets, Isabel Marant boots and more wild must-haves) the busy Danie has now launched her Style Book. The presenter needed a Sex and the City allure, so she chose for the Skybar in the capital’s Okura Hotel.
It’s the day after our launch party, so I exchanged my comfy jeans for the open sleeve dress of ByDanie. My lifesaver dress. Nice tights and heels and it looks a million dollars. Danie hands her first book to Ruud de Wild. ‘I liked the idea of not asking a woman I dress for this role. And Ruud has an international appeal with his style of dressing’. ‘I’m vain on uneven days’ is the answer of Ruud who doesn’t think it’s strange he receives the price. He’s thrilled when Danie hands him a pair of brand new Nike Airs.
The dress is a LIFESAVER
Of course, I took the book home. And if I were you I would put it on your Christmas list. That is if you haven’t bought it already. De cover is amazing and in the book you’ll find all the tools you need to look classic, bohemian, rock and roll, glamour or vintage. Filled with real life tips and lovely behind-the-scene photos of Danie’s own photo archive.
What I enjoy a lot about the book is that you can also read it from front to back. That’s how I always read a magazine. And apparently, Danie does so too. Must be a fashion thing!
