TAKING A LOOK BACK!

Look, we’re of course not the Daily Star or Perez Hilton, but we really like a gossip here and there. A day doesn’t go by without me surfing to dailymail.co.uk or nu.nl/achterklap. The end of the year is in sight and it’s time for a retrospective of the best gossip of last year. Without further ado, we present to you: the juiciest gossip stories of 2013.

How can we not start this list with the entire affair surrounding SylRafSab. About a year ago, Syl & Raf’s marriage didn’t turn out to be as perfect as Sylvie’s porcelain face, and their marriage was practically over. A couple of soothing words about true love ensued, just like a couple of new attempts, but it was clear quite soon that they weren’t able to revive their relation. But no one foresaw the massive cesspool that was about to burst. Best friend Sabia took Sylvie’s throne, much to the chagrin of the rest of the country, and many shocking tv interviews followed, too many openhearted Frenchmen, pilots were flown in, and also Raf didn’t turn out to be that keen on fidelity, and recently, everything culminated into something much more nasty about which we don’t want to say anything bad.

Estelle and Badr were also a hot topic. Relation on, off, in prison, out, it was all really messy. No one understood what Estelle saw in him, but thank heavens she decided to break up.

Abroad it was even messier, mostly thanks to the Westashians. I don’t think one family has ever caused so much controversy. A family with unexpected couples, who turned out to say I do to each other, and other couples, who decided to call it all off. Über Kardashian Kris broke up with Bruce, and so did Lamar and Khloe. It was a busy year for the family. Not to say the least about the birth of North (that name, that name!!) and Kim’s fantastic style transformation.   

But there were other relationships that didn’t survive. Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom (apparently, she’s prone to cheating, and he’s a softie), Nigella Lawson and Charles Saatchi (with a very nasty divorce as result), George Clooney and Stacy Keibler called it off (not very unexpected since George can’t commit for more than two years), and of course Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones. Oh wait, holddd your horses, I’m forgetting Eva Mendez and Ryan Gosling! He’s single again! Someone! Do something!

2013 was also the year of crazy teen stars. Justin Bieber made negative headlines after another, Lindsay Lohan went to rehab (couple of times), Miley Cyrus shocked friend and foe by twerking in a skin coloured latex suit against Robin Thicke during the VMAs, and Amanda Bynes went full retard and the world got to enjoy this thanks to the photo and hate rants she sent out to the world on her Twitter and Instagram account.

2013 didn’t fail us when it came down to gossip and the Perez Hilton in me is really looking forward to all the 2014 hysteria. Cheers, dear stars, hope to be entertained yet again by you in the new year.
