Side by side on the cover of Vogue Japan

They should all be sitting in a old age home for models by now, hiding out behind a vase of dry geraniums, but Claudia Schiffer, Linda Evangelista, Nadja Auermann, Naomi Campbell and Stephanie Seymour are simply too beautiful to never be on a cover again.

When Luigi Murenu called (well, he didn’t actually make the calls himself but it sounds so cosy white-picket-fence-ish) to ask if they all wanted to be on the cover of the Vogue Japan – September issue, the response was resounding.

Luigi Murenu is one of the greatest hairstylists. He was the one behind some of the memorable styles that Madonna wore in her heyday and he has styled an army of celebrities. Think Kate moss, Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore and I can keep naming them for at least another 15 minutes.

He has been the lead stylist at the biggest shows for years already, Gucci, MaxMara, Armani. Creative people want to do more, more, more and so Luigi turned his hand to photography. In collaboration with his friend Lango, who has plenty of experience in the field.

It’s obvious the duo are very popular, because you don’t easily get booked for the most important cover of the year. Luigi delivered a sublime pic, is not hard to look at and even took the time to style their hair. Great work right?
