Apps to pimp your Instagram with
God, how different life would be without filters. I’m talking about Instagram filters obviously, you got that right? Hup, a little more colour to your face with the ‘Earlybird’ or a tiny bit of blue with the ‘Lo-Fi’ and lighten and brighten with ‘Sierra’ so everyone looks a little fresher. Someone said to me recently: “okay, so you’re addicted.”. Ouch, that hurt, but I couldn’t deny it either. Please tell me that you also check your Insti (we call it Insti at the office) at least every hour?
To complicate matters even further (and make it more fun), there are apps to pimp your photos. I’m warning you, you can get lost for hourrrrrs.
Handwriter
You can write little texts under your photo using different letter types and colours. You know, like ‘happy birthday’, a date, ‘sunday breakfast’ or whatever.
Afterlight
The favourite of bloggers. Check out our very own Josselin’s-Insti-account. She almost always uses Afterlight. You can light up your photos with it. White becomes even whiter.
Instaflip
If you just don’t know anymore and can’t choose which of your many photo’s to post. Make a cute slideshow with Instaflip. This is especially popular to show off the year gone by.
Instavid
Liesbeth and I made an Instagram video while cycling through the streets of Paris. We could have used a French chanson to make it even better. This app lets you add music to your video.
Picfx
Sunbeams, rainbows, hearts, stars…you name it and they have it.
Pic collage
The name explains it. Not quite as cool as a real collage on the wall, but you can play around with it. Very simple, choose photos and drag them to a place on the collage wall.
Squaready
The real Instagrammers always photograph in the ‘square mode’. That is the exact shape of the Instagram photo. If you don’t do this, you could end up with a picture where the person on the far right is cut off or your very high heels (extremely important!) aren’t seen anymore. Thank God for Squaready to crop your pics.
