Hazjar already claimed a place in our Look of the Day, but today we get to ask her all sorts of great beauty questions. She’s the PR Manager for brands like Givenchy and Kenzo and quite the beauty herself, so we were pretty curious about her rituals and favourite products.
Morning Ritual
“The first thing I do when I get up in the morning is cleanse and care for my face and neck. Then I’m properly awake! I use the KenzoKi skin care line. First I wash my face with the Gentle Cleansing Lotus Mousse, which is just like whipped cream! I massage my face with it and then rinse with lukewarm water. I use the Melt-in Moisturizing Lotion afterwards, really soft and fresh. The Lotus Caress to Moisturize eyes eradicates my puffy eyes and I finish my morning ritual with Belle de Jour cream. The latter is both a day and night cream, which is perfect.”
MAKEUP essentials
“I have an enormous amount of makeup, but mostly always use the products in my ‘daily cosmetic bag’. As a foundation, I use a product that is actually a base product (for under your foundation); Givenchy Acti’mine nr 5. It is so natural looking and really evens your skin out and gives it a great healthy look. Givenchy Noir Couture mascara gives me long, black and full lashes. I pencil in a black line along my lower lid with Givenchy Magic Kajal. I love a glow on my cheeks and use Benefit High Beam in the colour pink for this. Because my makeup look is quite natural, I often use a bright colour lipstick; Givenchy Le Rouge has gorgeous bright colours and is a super cool product in je handbag, the lipstick cover is leather!”
nail polish
“I change my nail polish a lot; I love bright but also pastel shades and often match the colour with my outfit. At the moment I’m wearing a candy-pink polish from the Givenchy spring/summer look.”
eyebrows or lashes
“I simply cannot choose between these two! Eyebrows determine everything; I see a difference immediately after my eyebrows are plucked. I have them done at the Benefit Brow bar in Parfumerie Douglas on the Kalverstraat in Amsterdam; they are real pro’s and I totally trust my eyebrows to them. I can’t live without my Noir Couture mascara; I adore very black lashes and Noir Couture does just that.”
MILLION DOLLAR TIP
“KenzoKi Fresh Lotus Water; a wonderfully refreshing spray for face and body. I always have one in my car and on my desk at the office. When I go the beach, I pop it in my coolbox and keep it extra cold.”

“At the moment, my favourite perfume is L’Atelier de Givenchy Oud Flamboyant, from an exclusive collection by Givenchy. I also use my all time favourites Kenzo Amour and Mon Jasmin Noir L’eau Exquise by Bvulgari.”
Unexpected BEAUTY PRODUCT
“I think it is seriously cool that you can create gorgeous curls with a straightening iron; actually you get a straightener and curling iron in one. I have had many straighteners, but my all time favourite is my current one from GHD, highly recommended!”
NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT
“There are a few essentials in my bag; Dove deodorant, a perfume – at the moment Ange ou Demon Le Secret by Givenchy, nail polish remover from Kruidvat and Le Rouge lipstick.”
hair MUST-DO
“I wash my hair once a week; a stylist once told me “ Your hair is like a pair of jeans, the more often you wash it, the more faded it gets”, something that I have never forgotten! My favourite shampoo is the Moisture Velvet by Shu Uemura and for afterwards, the conditioner. Because I blow dry and straighten my hair, I always use a serum; at the moment I am using one from CHI, it makes my hair silky soft and smells divine.”
