The go-to guide for Everything Eyes

Bobbi Brown, make-up artist and best-selling author, has just finished her 8th book. She has given Jet and May-Britt some life-lessons for a basic look and in this book, it’s all about the eyes. Bobbi tells all from basic eye-care to what should never be missing from your make-up bag, and also what the essential tools are for a stand-out look. Let me not forget to mention that there are also 10 great eye-looks in the book that you can create  at home. In the Bobbi way, so with clear steps to guide you to success.

A really cool chapter is the one for wearers of glasses. They usually get left out. Bobbi herself wears a big black pair on her nose and finds it totally ridiculous that they shouldn’t also get a mention and some great tips. She even gives tips about which type of glasses suit you best and explains about the different face shapes.

Here are a few tips from the book. How exactly do you create that stand-out look?

* Apply the Perfectly Defined Gel Eyeliner closely along the eyelash rim, across the entire eyelid. Use a fine line to accentuate the eye. It also has the ultimate benefit of making your lashes look fuller.

* Always curl your eyelashes before applying mascara. Never afterwards, they’ll break! That would be tragic.

* End with the Extreme Party Mascara. Always apply from bottom to top, otherwise your lashes will hang downwards. It is a luxury, but if you can, use a different mascara for the upper and lower lashes. The hairs are different, and this gives you a better result.

Everything Eyes is available via the Bobbi Brown counters in the Bijenkorf  department store from July 2014 for € 35.
