yellow IS the word

“Are you becoming a mum or a milf, that’s the question?” a dear friend of mine asked me when I told him, proudly, that I was pregnant. Of course I chose for option b, duh. First tool that helped me parade the streets a bit representable was appropriate transportation. My friend Fiona Hering, who gave birth a couple of months before me, gave the perfect example. She strolled the streets with a black bugaboo, and wore a matching black dress with divine panther shoes from Roberto Cavalli for H&M, which she, noblesse oblige, already owned way before it was about to hit stores. My kind of girl and my kind of mother.

I got my Cameleon from my dear brother, and it was the perfect gift because it allowed me to mix and match. In the winter months when my daughter was just born, we chose for stylish black. In the spring we traded in the black jacket for beige and we walked the streets very two-tone CHANEL. When my second daughter was born, I bought a denim cover. My third daughter was treated to a Bugaboo Donkey, a great pram in which two children fit and lots of shopped goods, and again I chose for the always chic beige black combination.

It’s only because I think three daughters are great and more than enough, but I think that this Bugaboo Banana, which was produced in collaboration with the Andy Warhol Studios, makes me want to get pregnant again. The pram is inspired on the iconic banana print that Andy Warhol made in 1966 for the album of The Velvet Underground with singer Nico and oh la la such fun. A perfect match with the palm tree trend, which I also love so much. In case you think it’s rather too much yellow, you can switch the footbag for a black copy. But I’d say: make a statement. Choose for the sun and go bananas.
