Conversation Piece Fun & Famous

SHE’S BACK

The sun sears my already bronzed skin, the clear blue water tempts me to take a dive, my fiancé surprises me with a fresh coconut (glitter straw and cocktail umbrella included), and then… my alarm clock goes off. This dream used to be reality, but since then I’ve come back to the ever so cold Netherlands. I’ve travelled all across Thailand with my luv for four weeks. The journey started great because he proposed to me on the first evening. Yeah, with a ring. We dined at the Sirocco, the roof terrace of the Lebua Hotel. Alongside the most beautiful view of Bangkok, my luv talked about how happy he was to be with me. I thought he was about to stand up and give me a kiss, but no. He proposed. I haven’t got a clue whether other guests saw it because I immediately burst into tears. I was so wrapped up in my own world. It really was our moment.

We had the most amazing, romantic engagement trip for four weeks.

I of course couldn’t wait to show the ring to everyone at home, but I think I’ve already created a vitamine D deficiency after only a week of rain.

Thankfully, there are enough fun things to keep me occupied. The premiere of the Toscaanse Bruiloft nears (for which a dress will be custom designed for me), and the new VARA series in which I play the lead is almost finished. I’ll show you the result next week. And our capital will be the stage for upcoming and established talent during next week’s Amsterdam Fashion week. I’m already looking forward to the shows of Esther Dorhout Mees, Ready to Fish, and Spijkers&Spijkers.

Not bad, I think. It seems we can brave the cold fashionably. I just bought a fabulous fake fur hat and great new Steve Madden winter boots.

Though I’d really like to keep my tan at least until the premiere next week… And if not: Thank God for spray tans!
