Ceremony-madame Anna Wintour
for all your weddings
Charles Shaffer is the son (yes there is a son, indeed) of Anna Wintour. He did not inherit the fashion-gene. Sadly. All hope has now been bestowed on her daughter-in-law, may she have love for all things on a hanger or that is delivered to the door in a black net-a-porter box.
On Saturday, Charles married Elizabeth Cordry, whom he met at Oxford University where they both shared far more interest in the study of asymptomatic, congenital cerebrospinal fluid, than say the latest Prada.
But Anna would not be Anna if she didn’t make There Day a tiny bit Her Day. She lent her country house in Mastic to them, sent a What’sApp to her best friend Oscar de la Renta and asked for a dress fitting the occasion, the same for the flower girls in Alexander McQueen and the bridesmaids in, you guessed it, Prada.
With son-dear in very British Burberry, Anna sat purring like a happy and proud cat. I tell you, this could be the perfect side job for after she goes on pension.
