GOING SHOPPING IN YOUR SWEATPANTS

The Harvard Business School conducted a research into status, and it seems that people who are dressed badly enjoy more status. Well, amongst shop keepers. The researchers surveyed pedestrians and shop keepers in Milan. Pedestrians were very impressed by fur coats and big sunglasses, but shop keepers know that some people are only keeping up appearances. They think it’s actually a sign of incredible self confidence (and indicative of a thick wallet) when people come shopping in their sweatpants. Apparently, they’ve got time to work out during the day and buy a new Chanel Boy.
