For this summer’s Haute Couture collection, Karl Lagerfeld like throwing a good party. He transformed the Parisian Grand Palais into a nightclub, which could’ve existed in outer space. Aluminum floors, models with spiky hair, but especially a collection that was simply other-worldly.

Naturally, Karl Lagerfeld returned to the classic characteristics of the house of CHANEL by using white and beige, both typical CHANEL colours. But he also rocked the most classic element of female couture, the corset, with such an iconic street style item, the sneaker.

Broad shoulders, slender waist, bulky shoulders, kneepads as funny accents, but especially those fabrics, that silhouette, and, of course, that sneaker. Must. Shall. Have. Even I.
