LAZY BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY

Okay, today’s isn’t the best of days, but you’re probably enjoying a lazy Sunday like me. Or not, and you’ve got grand plans for closing the weekend. Right, lazy Sunday or not, it’s always fun to look great and we’re giving you a helping hand. Because with a box of 4 Ombres eyeshadow from CHANEL and their makeup arist Judith Neyens’s tips, you’ll look your prettiest tonight. Also on the sofa.

preparation

Cleanse your face completely. Even if you’re only wearing a bit of makeup. Remove everything. If you want to paint, you need to have a blank canvas. Prepare your skin with Hydra Beauty Nutrition and afterwards choose for a foundation in your skin tone’s colour. Judith chose Vitalumière n°30 Beige for me. Apply the powder for a matting effect. The Poudre Universelle Compacte n°20 claire is beautiful and covers well without feeling too powdery.

eyebrows

The eyebrows are ‘vital’ for nicely done eyes. Brush them first. Start at the nose and brush upwards. I’m a big fan of CHANEL’s Le Sourcil. A great box with eyeshadows in three colours so that you can create the perfect colour. Make the brush a bit moist for an intense effect and sketch small hairs on your eyebrows. Finally, brush them again to make sure all the hairs are pointing the same direction.

the EAU NATURaL eye

For a nicely done eye which isn’t too present, choose for the palette Les 4 Ombres Tissé Mademoiselle 2014. These are four natural colours that lend themselves perfectly to combine, which enables you to do a natural look 2.0.

1. Start with the lightest colour and divide over the entire eyelid.
2. Use the darkest colour to draw a line near your eyelashes rim, like a sort of eyeliner. You can do this by gently pressing the brush on the eyes instead of swiping.
3. With the penultimate darkest colour add a light shade to your arcade arch. This will make your eyes look a bit bigger.
4. Then, take the penultimate lightest colour and blend everything on the middle of your eyelid. This will make everything look pretty. You need to blur the transitions of the colours.
5. Finally, use the penultimate darkest colour again to emphasise the corner of the eye. It draws the eyeliner a bit further but will still look natural.

MASCARA

The golden tip before applying mascara is to curl your lashes. Really, believe me, you’ll see an immediate difference. The lashes are instantly volumised. You need to do this where your lash rim starts and use little motions. This way, you won’t damage the lashes and you’ll see a natural curl instead of a crinkly one. Afterwards, apply Le Volume Mascara from CHANEL on the lashes. Add a bit more to the root than to the tips. This gives a natural effect. Upper and lower lashes.

BLUSH EN LIP

The finishing touch is not entirely unimportant. Because you chose for a natural look, it’s best to use a cream blush which preserves your fresh look. With your ring finger, add a bit of Blush Cream de CHANEL 62 Intonation on the apples of your cheeks. This way you won’t ever add too much, and it’s easy to blur. With a darker colour from Les Beiges you can shape your face a bit more. And in order to keep the natural effect, Judth chose a nude-like lip colour: Rouge Coco n° 48 Sentiment. She applied it with her fingers making it all look very natural.

Right, now you’re the queen of the sofa or you’re making a grand impression during Sunday dinner. Enjoy
