AMAYZINE COCKTAIL

If you didn’t already know what to do with your luv on this Valentine’s day, and you don’t really feel like going out to a restaurant, but still want to be slightly tipsy on the sofa, bed, or whatever… Head to the kitchen to brew a cocktail together. It’ll make you feel even more in love. Trust me.

I was served this cocktail at Restaurant Bridges at hotel the Grand the other day. The barman served me an Amayzine Cocktail, which you can also easily make yourself at home. I repeat: a guaranteed fun Valentine’s evening.

Do you still feel like going to a bar with your luv, then save this trip for next week. The cocktail bar at hotel the Grand is still renovating after which everything will be even more beautiful and comfortable. First go to the raw seafood bar (also at the Grand) and order some oysters and sashimi. Afterwards, treat yourself to a cocktail. Or everything at the same time. It doesn’t really matter, anyway. This hotel is great.

What do you need and how to prepare it:

• 50 ml Hendricks
• 25 ml sugar water
• 25 ml honey
• 25 ml fresh lime juice
• 25 ml St-Germain

Always chill your cocktail glass with ice beforehand. Add all the ingredients in a shaker and show your shake skills. Pour everything through a sieve in the glass. Though don’t forget to remove the ice from the glass first, of course.
