Today, I’m at my desk feeling rather shaky. I think I’ve drunk a glass too many yesterday during the Evening of Film music, and my punishment is immediate. The best medicine for a hangover is to lie in bed all day, of course, but also to drink a glass of alcohol. It’s called a reparation drink. Which I’m doing today at The Dylan. I’ve worked there for two years as a waitress and developed by fear for cheese, but I now like to visit it as a guest. The garden in the summer and the fireplace during winter. When you’re lucky, Joost is the bartender of the evening. Just say whatever you feel like and he’ll prepare something special for you. I always feel like a queen because right before I order something, I already get something to drink. Joost exactly knows what I like. Nothing too sweet, gin’s okay, lots of ice, and preferably red. Or a green tea in the afternoons.

What follows next is the recipe for this divine cocktails, kind of complicated so take your time for it. I’m visiting Joost tonight, see you there?
