Destination Killer body is in full swing. We started with the Innerwave Detox last Monday. We first had to eat less (rice crackers for lunch, quinoa and vegetables for dinner), and we started with the juices on Friday. Jet started a day later so when you’re reading this, she’s at day 2 and I at day 3. Just so you know. The moment I’m writing this, it’s Friday and I’m ready to pass out. We’ve been taking all kinds of supplements (Green Kamut, Innerlife, Chlorella pills, Psyllium Husk, and Magnesium sulphate) for five days in order to detox, and this doesn’t go unnoticed. Friday was my first day of juices and I’m feeling kind of dizzy, typing something fun costs me tremendous energy. Let’s quickly go to the weeks in bullet points.
- We had a hart time working out on Tuesday. We both didn’t quite feel it and were hardly able to move. Don’t know why, just one of those days.
- I had my last test last wednesday which means spending hours in the library. Monday and Tuesday I was studying from morning to midnight, and studying combined with not eating proved to be impossible. Studying and bad eating habits just go together. During test weeks I can easily eat an entire candy roll. Or peppermints. Or biscuits. Waffles. SOMETHING.
- But I wasn’t allowed to. We ate rice crackers with lean toppings for breakfast, and 100 grammes of fish, 200 grammes of vegetables and two scoops of quinoa for dinner.
- Jet went running in Westerpark on Monday whilst it was raining really hard. She did. She’s so proud and rightfully so. The rain was fine, “when it rains there’s more oxygen in the air.” Just so you know.
- We both have huge emotional dips at around 3 or 4. Biking home at night with hunger makes your dinner taste a thousand times better. Jet especially considers cooking to be calming and a pleasant activity.
- I’ve been walking around with an enormously bloated belly for the past few days. Honestly, I look like I’m 3 months pregnant. We’re coached by Patrick and he assured me it’s all part of the game and will go away in a bit. In fact, it’s a good sign, my body’s apparently cleansing itself.
- In the end, we both feel something’s really happening because of this Innerwave Detox. The detox has all kinds of unfortunate side effects, but we need to persevere. In a week and a half it’s all over and we’ll have a cleansed body. Which is why we’re doing this.
Until next week!
