The last week was all about one thing for me: my 26th birthday. It was on Wednesday and considering that I am secretly still a little kid, having birthdays is my absolute hobby. As you probably read, I first cancelled my birthday dinner because of the damn football that got in the way, but Jet wouldn’t have any of it.

She secretly mailed everyone that I had previously invited (a tiny group, the inner, inner circle) to gather at a restaurant in Amsterdam, on a canal, in the sun and exactly how I had first imagined it. I had absolutely no idea, was lured under false pretenses to the place in question and got super surprised by those dearest to me. I can tell you now, the emotions were all over the place and the happiness and joy were sky high.

So, now the week in bullet points.

– During the dinner, all the Killerbody- stuff took a back seat. The bottles of wine appeared on the table at an alarmingly high tempo, we ordered starters and main courses and when were stuffed to bursting point from all the drinks and food, we decided to go and order every dessert off the menu so we could taste them all. Including a sticky toffee cake that we are still dreaming about.

– Tuesday started a little strange for me, I woke at 08:20 with no alarm clock set or anything and so totally too late for training. Absolutely shit.

– Wednesday I was there, birthday or not. We had a great boxing session and we filmed a bit, you can check it out here!

– Tuesday evening I started on season 2 of Orange is the New Black and treated myself, on the last evening of being 25, to a massive plate of yummy and healthy snacks. Surimi, salmon, avocado, buffalo mozzarella, etc. Ok and a glass of wine to wash it all down.

– Restaurant Venkel is Jet’s regular spot for takeaway evening salads. Especially now that she has moved and still kind of camping in her new house. A healthy takeaway is an ideal find for times like this.

– The Friday training started a little stiff but soon turned hilarious. We had to lie facedown on those big Skippy-balls and stretch our legs in an out, do you know what I mean? For some reason getting onto the ball was a problem and we spent the entire time rolling off the ball instead of staying on top. This weekend I have a family barbecue and I expect the wine to be flowing. Let’s hope I find by backbone by then.

Guys, till next week!
