We were reprimanded quite severely by our boxing instructor after he read that we didn’t see that much difference in the previous destination killerbody. Well, we served our punishment. Liesbeth was absolutely knackered on Thursday, and I felt my body ache with every step I took. I can’t really remember a morning on which I didn’t set the alarm clock on 7 for some fanatic exercising. And still, every time I think: noo, this is wayy to early, how can I possibly make it to the gym in half an hour? Though I somehow manage to (cancelling isn’t an option when you’ve got an angry trainer waiting for you the week after), and an hour later I feel practically reborn.

Other things that happened in week 5;

  • We don’t particularly have an easy time. Last week, Easter bread and about one hundred chocolate eggs were awaiting us and last Friday we began with a glass of wine on a sunny terrace at about five. Together with Sacha, Liesbeth’s friend, with who we also had partied in London. Yes, and suddenly it was Saturday, our favourite day of the year.
  • The King’s days have had their impact, I absolutely didn’t keep into account our project. With bottles of home brewed cocktails, I headed into town with my girlfriends. Toasties, hotdogs, fried eggs with bacon, egg roles, yep, I tasted it all. Right, I’m allowed since it really is my favourite weekend.
  • An advantage to such a bizarre party weekend is that I didn’t feel like eating at all because I was so hungover. A mini detox, if you will.
  • We still often send pictures of perfect bodies to each other. Just for the motivation. Liesbeth told me to check out Nathasha Oakley’s Instagram who I already knew because I started UNfollowing her a couple of weeks ago. A woman with a body that’s positively sickening to witness.
  • Luckily, all my girlfriends like to cook healthily. So last week we made a delicious salad with arugula, avocado, pomegranate seeds, tomatoes, and beets. Which we ate alongside salmon with cream cheese on spelt crackers. Super healthy, nourishing, and satiating.
  • Liesbeth plans on going to the swimming pool because it’s not working fast enough. Once a week after work she’s going to hit some laps.

Right, you’re probably curious whether we see any result. I feel as though I’m doing quite well, I was even told that my bum feels much firmer. And besides working on this or that, such a project’s also good for the mind. Really. Boxing relieves you of everything that’s bothering you. Such a lovely feeling. Week 6, here we come!
