Part 2
Every time I hear that summer is seriously about to begin, I break out into a sweat. That means shorts, spaghetti straps and short tops. And lest we not forgot, bikini’s on the beach. Now I’m not in that bad a shape, but a couple of tummy exercises never hurt anyone, right?
You don’t have to spend hours sweating in the gym to feel confident walking on the beach. You can do it at home, on a mat so no stress. All within 15 minutes. But you have to do them every day of course.
Exercise 1
Start by lying on your back with your legs at a 90 degree angle. Touch your shoes with your fingers. Tense your stomach muscles. Do this 30 times.
Then stretch both legs high in the air and keep them straight up. Touch your shoes with your finger tips again. 30 times.
Do three sets of this exercise.
Exercise 2
Grab a ball. Don’t have one yet? You can buy one on the internet for next to nothing (believe me, it will make you happy. Also handy to use instead of a chair. Due to the need to constantly rebalance yourself, your tummy, legs and back all get trained.)
Roll yourself over the ball, from stomach to feet using your hands as support on the ground. Stretch your legs in and out. Looks easy, but isn’t. Repeat 30 times, rest and then another set. Repeat 3 times.
