Go Frow #6

Anyone who has watched the Derek Lam show will be pleasantly surprised by the fact that it was just so, how do I say this, so pretty. Style.com wrote: “clothes you want to wear. That shouldn’t be a novelty at a fashion show, yet somehow it is.” And that’s just the thing, a lot of shows tend to be rather conceptual and complicated, but Derek Lam took a different approach. The first looks that hit the runway was a dress covered in a gingham print and with instant I-need-to-wear-have-love-it factor. And, there it is again, the turban in matching print. Besides neutral colours like white, black, grey, and denim, there was also enough room for a splash of colour (yellow! We love yellow!) and a mixture of materials ranging from robust fabrics to easy tule and sensual silk. Trench coats made an appearance with trousers with high waists but also skirts so elegant it was if they danced their way down the runway. A personal favorite are the floor-length dresses I find so gorgeous in their simplicity and with the super easy breezy fabric that it really has a touching element to it. All in all, it was just very pretty. And while that may sounds a bit cheesy and boring, it really really isn’t.
