I can literally spend hours looking at online recipes. I print them out, pop them in a book and then test them out in my kitchen. I have quite a few waiting to try, because I am being flooded with great (healthy) food-blogs. For example: Sarah Britton from My New Roots taught me how to make my own nut-milk. Saves a ton of money, because it’s super expensive in the shops and you can only keep it for a few days. And Daisy, from ilovehealth, taught me how to make an unbelievably yummy tuna-burger. And let me not forget Culy, with the most delicious vegetarian (I hardly eat meat) recipes ever.
I’m sharing a few of my favourite food-blogs with you. Only a few though because there are far too many to mention and I need to keep some cooking secrets to myself so I can impress, right?
Rens Kroes
Let us begin with our very own Rens Kroes. Her cookery book Powerfood has just been published and it’s full of easy and delicious recipes. Her website is also full of yummy things. The fresh cucumber soup for example. Perfect for this weather and ready in a second.
My New Roots
Sarah Britton, I mentioned her earlier. Her site is full of the prettiest foodie photos (difficult to take, great foodie pics). She is a super healthy cook, often eats raw and preferably from her own garden.
Yellow Lemon Tree
Maura from yellowlemontreeblog is truly one of my faves. She’s a great writer, every recipe has a story, and it all looks so tasty and easy to make. I’m good for at least an hour on this site and very, very hungry afterwards.
Chicks love food
The chicks Elise and Nina from chickslovefood regularly post new recipes. Super healthy, but also great chocolate cakes and brownies and a glass of wine is often had. I really love the section 5 or less. How to create an entire meal with 5 or less ingredients. Perfect for after work or if you don’t feel like spending hours cooking or just simply need some inspiration. They also supply handy restaurant tips.
Jamie Oliver
Last but not least. Jamie Oliver. God, do you have a moment? I’m crazy about Jamie. Okay, I’ll admit, I’m a sucker for a man that can cook (really cook, ok). And then that lisp. Sigh. Sorry.
