FRESH SHOOTS, FRESH GIRLS
The summer approaches and with it also the S/S14 campaigns. We found three campaigns that we’d like to share with you. Kate King for D&G, Elle Fanning for MiuMiu (and shot by the Netherlands’ finest Inez & Vinoodh), and a bleached Daria Werbowy for Balenciaga.
All three know all too well what it’s like to be an underdog. Daria won a modelling competition when she was 14 though her breakthrough would happen when she was 19. Not quite the overnight success, obviously. They all seem to share this because Elle Fanning (yeah, the sister of) is… well… the sister of. But she’s slowly building a name for herself, for instance with this lovely MiuMiu campaign.
Kate was also scouted when she was very young (she was 13), but it was only when she was in her 20s that the larger campaigns come pouring in. She’s not a stranger to D&G. This is her 5th campaign for the Sicilian gentlemen. She isn’t as famous yet, but judging from Elle and Daria she’s definitely one-to-watch.
