Gucci launched their own makeup line yesterday. Why? Because fashion and makeup are inextricably bound. Where? There where chic and taste meet, the New York Carlyle of course.

A-list crowd

If Gucci throws a party, the coolest crowd will show up. Charlotte Casiraghi, Poppy Delevingne, Lily Donaldson, Solange Knowles, Crystal Renn, Kasia Struss, Frida Gianini (obviously, she hosted the event), Carine Roitfeld, Garance Doré, Schott Schuman, and princess Alexandra from Greece.

Yet another Gucci beauty

“Fashion and beauty are connected. One can’t exist without the other,” creative director Frida Gianini says. “Makeup is a key element of the Gucci runway show, it helps to exhibit the essence of the Gucci woman. Eyes, skin, lips, they’re all accessories really. Everything works to create a very strong look.”

What kind of products?

The collection contains Gucci Eyes, Gucci Face, Gucci Lip, Gucci Nail, and products that help to prepare your skin perfectly. We need to wait a while longer before being able to buy it in the Netherlands because it’s going to be available from September onwards. But we can already enjoy the vavavoom party in New York.
