With the New York marathon in the prospect, this press presentation came in handy. Even though my closet is already filled for at least 25% with sportswear. And I don’t have one pair of running shoes, but several ones. Different outfits call for different colours. Somehow, I like running a bit more when I do so in Nike’s newest tights or H&M’s fluorescent sports bra. Am I exaggerating? Perhaps a tad. I just like to look nice during my workout. You never know who you might bump into, right?
May-Britt and I were allowed to come take a look at H&M’s latest sportswear collection. For yoga and running. Our hearts jumped upon arrival because we received a ginger-celery-apple juice, a healthy snack, and we saw racks of deliciously soft yoga clothing in the greatest colours. We immediately felt like putting it on and run around in our brand new outfits or do a sun salutation in light grey leggings that have socks attached. Very useful.
May-Britt made conversation with Laura Muscas, who does the pr for H&M, here and there a raw chocolate ball and gluten-free cakes passed, and I browsed a bit through the collection and spotted some young bloggers and that great Francien from girlslove2run.nl. There she was with my favourite sweatpants in her hands. Of course.
The Go Gold Limited Edition has been designed with the Olympic Games in mind. Every item is functional and comfortable, but you can easily keep it on for a couple of hours after your workout (just use a deodorant), because it’s all very stylish. For instance, the black and white scuba sweater (you know, diving suit fabric), a short and sexy model. I’d wear it for a casual look. I already have lots of cool Nike sweatpants, but I think another one will soon join them. I saw bright yellow leggings with blue stripes and I was sold. Unfortunately, we’ve got to wait until 17 January for the collection to be available in stores. I’m going to set my alarm clock!
