I admit, I’m not the biggest fan of museums. When I go on a city trip, I rather rent a bike and cross all over town. I might end up on a terrace, observing passers-by, go in and out of stores, and make plans for dinner in the morning; where are we going to dine?

Don’t tell my mum, by the way. She can reserve three days only to spend each day visiting a different wing of the Louvre. I rather put on running shoes and walk six laps around the building, to end up having lunch at Café Le Marly: a fabulous restaurant with a view on the museum. Sounds much better. If someplace is a perfect model slash celeb hangout, it’s this place. Especially during fashion week.

First a small note. Plan on going with your luv? It’s a bit of a risk. Even I would almost fall in love with the waitresses. They’re that pretty. Even the girl who only handles the coats! I really don’t understand why she especially was assigned the job because she’d be a better match on a runway or a Victoria’s Secret show or a L’Oréal shampoo commercial.

When the weather’s good, you should definitely reserve a spot outside on the terrace with a perfect view of the famous, glass pyramids that lead up to the Louvre’s entrance. Though sitting inside isn’t too bad either. At a certain spot in the back you’ll look right into one of the museum rooms. So you’ll have seen the museum a bit, anyway.

My favourite dish at Le Marly is a tower of tomato, avocado, and crab. Divine and also very skinny proof. You can order a great Croque Madam or an omelette with truffle. Drink a cool glass of red wine. Like already said, the waiters and waitresses are breathtakingly gorgeous and friendly young men and women.

I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that their tightly cut clothing comes from an expensive store somewhere near the Rue Saint-Honoré. And after lunch you can take a stroll to the spectacular design store Colette. It’s right around the corner. Hmm, now that I mention it… I think I’ll book a ticket right away.
