I try to cook at home as often as possible. But right, I sometimes don’t manage to. When you’re biking home at around half past 7 with so much hunger, it’s really not great to have to go to the supermarket first only to still wonder what you feel like having. Besides, you’ll risk eating an entire tub of nuts on your way home, leaving you with little hunger. But nuts aren’t a good dinner so you still end up cooking and will eat at around nine in the evening. This happens and to me quite often. But when you arrive home late, it’s something also very nice to have your dinner be delivered at your home.

Here are my favourite (healthy!) addresses.

SLA

The greatest freshly made salads. With a lot of vegetables and delicious salad dressings. My favourite’s the one with spinach, red lentils, kohlrabi, carrots, cauliflower, and falafel balls. Delicious. Though check their website well, they only deliver to certain postal codes in Amsterdam.

MARLEEN KOOKT

Having people over for dinner but not enough time to cook a healthy dinner? Don’t panic. Go (though a day in advance!) to marleenkookt.nl and look what’s on the menu. Let me tell you, it’s always delicious. Everything’s freshly made in her own kitchen and as organic as possible. The dinners are delivered by very nice students. The dinner’s transported in beautiful platters which you can put straight in the oven and afterwards on the table. Next time you order something at Marleen, give the platters back. Or someone else comes to pick it up.

CIRO

Like you’re at an Italian restaurant. The pizzas are very thin, crunchy and topped with fresh ingredients. I prefer the Super Bianco. A crunchy crust with mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, and basil. Simple but delicious.

SOYTASTY

Sushi, it’s a bit expensive but the best place in town. You could almost wake me up for it. I always order the Ebi Furai Uramaki. Which means, I’ll ring them up and ask: “that sushi with fried shrimps please.’ Right, and edamame as appetiser, which are soy beans. An incredibly healthy snack.
