It’s been buzzing for days on the girlfriends group whatsapp ‘where we’re going to watch soccer’. Though only when the Netherlands are playing because otherwise we couldn’t care less. We’ll have dinner beforehand and will book a spot in front of the screen. Even though our lives don’t depend on such a game, we can still get quite fanatical. Probably every cafe has a tv, but chances are you won’t be able to view it properly. Here are some great spots where to watch the game. Enjoy!
AMSTERDAM
Westergas terrace has a big terrace with enormous screen. Great place to have dinner at beforehand.
Lovely alongside water, always great ambience and lots of places to sit.
HAARLEM
There’s a huge screen at XOat the big market, there’s always a tap within hand reach and lots of people in orange. Probably.
Café de Studio was once a cinema and has now become a pub. So big screen.
MAASTRICHT
Carolien Spoor recommended De Tribunal, a great place with lots of enthusiastic people watching the game.
ROTTERDAM
Bar bar will show soccer. So think of big screens and litres of beer or wine or whatev.
