High End Down Under
KATE MIDDLETON’S MILLION DOLLAR LOOKS
The big quest Down Under began. Kate, William, George and his kangaroo back pack arrived in New Zealand. Kate pulled another work of art with her arrival look to subtly and charmingly refer to her late mother in law Lady Di. When she visited New Zealand for the first time, she wore a red, double breasted ensemble with a small red pillbox hat. She did a small Marilyn Monroe act (look at her lifting skirt) and a Lady Di at the same time. Her outfit doesn’t only look remarkably similar to Diana’s look, but has also been made by the house of Catherine Walker, the label princess Diana was also such a big fan of.
Listening to her grandma in law Queen Elizabeth, Kate didn’t pack any high street brands. She’s having a couture moment. Think Temperley, Alexander McQueen. The last order is rumoured to be a robe from Ralph & Russo. A London based label that was founded by the Australian couple Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo in 2007. Because of the amalgamation of Australia and London, this label fits perfectly in Kate’s outfit palette she selected for this trip. Besides, she finds herself in good company of fans. Angelina Jolie, Beyoncé, and lots of Middle Eastern fans like to wave their credit cards in the Ralph & Russo boutique. Which is understandable because a nice dress starts at 50,000 pounds. If you think about the fact that father-in-law prince Charles only allowed Kate to spend a measly 35,000 in 2013, this is such great improvement. The queen is undeniably proud of her. And so am I.
