Lara under fire
Oh god guys, the mommy-police are rattling the gates at Lara Stone’s home. Why? Because she admitted in an interview to the Sunday Times Style magazine that she found being pregnant a horrible process. “It was frightening.” She had to start wearing pregnancy clothing after ten weeks already and could not continue working. She was really scared that the pregnancy would change her body in such a way that she wouldn’t be able to work anymore, which turned out to be unfounded. Just a year after the birth of her son Alfred, she scored a contract as face of L’Oréal, so all’s well that ends well.
Well that’s what you’d think. But a few women with far too much time on their hands having started causing a fuss about the fact that Lara found her pregnancy hell, especially since being pregnant is supposed to be the best thing in life. They say. They seem to have forgotten in all their prattle about the best 9 months of their lives, to mention the discomfort and ordeals that come with it. Says I that has never had a child so knows nothing about it, but still. Well, I think ms. Stone is brave and honest, and there are plenty of women who agree. A Calvin Klein contract was higher on her wish list than a contract for Mothercare. So what.
