Little coquettish Lupita

After the Golden Globes, I covered the prettiest dresses at RTL Boulevard. A gorgeous appearance on the red carpet was a Lupita N’yongo. “Who doesn’t know her?” Albert joked. Indeed, I too had never heard of this dark beauty.

It could happen. Lupita won the Oscar for best female supporting act for ‘Twelve Years a Slave’ and put herself on the man. “The time between the words ‘And the Academy Award goes to…’ and the pronunciation of my name was inhumanly long. I only thought: did they say my name or didn’t they? What a moment. My brother sat next to me and practically lost his mind.”

Lupita has beauty and a brain. She’s got a bachelors degree in film and theatre from the university of Hampshire, and she’s got a masters in fine arts. She already worked behind the scenes at films and is now an actress with a capital A. And she does well fashion and beautywise too. She was already featured in the MiuMiu campaign, and is now the new face of Lancôme. Joining a list of actresses that represented the beauty brand. Julia Roberts, Penelope Cruz, and Kate Winslet. “Actors are more than just a face, they’re characters that offer more than only beauty. We’re privileged to represent something else than only our looks.” Does this beauty also have a brainy quote to conclude with? “I believe that the light inside illuminates the beauty outside.” Amen.

Lupita’s Lancôme campaign will be featured in September. The product has not yet been made public.
