The sun came out this week already. Which we certainly noticed. We wore our coats open, took out our sunglasses, and saw more colour on the street. For makeup artists, the sun’s always shining. They prefer to spend their days on colours, painting lips red, making cheeks pink, and a glitter here and there. Whether the sun’s shining or not, there are no limits. Though only when it comes to other people because most makeup artists I know only wear a cream with SPF and some mascara. Right, forgive my small side step.

Sometimes I feel a surge coming up and I suddenly feel like hot pink lipstick or some colour on the eyes. Doesn’t happen often, but I’ve got to admit, now that I’ve seen MAC Cosmetics’ new collection, it might happen more often. Their collection’s like a kind of candy store filled with delicious things.

The basis contains mostly pastel coloured pigments so they start off slow. Beautiful eyeshadow pallets in greens and pinks. Pink lipsticks and for the true brave hearts a lipgloss with a shimmer. Sounds good, right? I’m not quite there yet because I didn’t mention the cherry on top of the cake. I’m mostly impressed by the pigment jars that are in the collection. Shimmers in violet, raspberry pink and pastel green with nice glitters. Looks like delicious candy. And those eyeliners, in bright green and intense purple. Honestly, it looks absolutely gorgeous.

As diehard nude girl, I still think it’s all a bit too intense for me. Though, that mascara has such a cool purple glitter rim and pink cap. The colour is just black, but I need to get out the inner bird of paradise somewhere?
