MARIE CLAIRE: GEORGINA VERBAAN
We had to wait a while, I think I’ve asked Georgina about three years ago at a cafe on the Haarlemmerstraat whether she wanted to do a shoot for Marie Claire. She didn’t really feel like interviews because it always generated such ‘fuss’. Understandable because colourful Georgina always manages to deliver a spicy conversation piece. All the more fun to see Georgina on this month’s cover and interior of Marie Claire. I still think she’s one of the prettiest women to look at with her always girly, sexy look. And even though she’s on guard, she still has the most original sentences: “Perhaps I should post less pictures of cats. But it’s either this or therapy.” “With prior attempts of quitting, I wouldn’t have any difficulties in getting out cigarets from the bin which I’d tape together.” “I’m reading Virginia Woolf’s A Room of One’s Own, a feministic piece of work with lots of old English. I tend to fall asleep easily.” Only to conclude with another great @GVerbaan tweet. “Hey, how cute, I can see myself on tv, running on the street without a bra. I was able to do that back then without giving myself a black eye. #Costa”
