Lizzy van der Ligt, one of the most well known bloggers in the country. Well deserved too, cause holy shit she’s got so many amazing clothes and bags and shoes. I know because I dropped by her house to photograph her. She prepared me for a hot mess, which I didn’t notice. My eyes were too busy looking at the designer bags lying around.

So my first question was obviously: How many bags do you have?

“Mmm, no idea. I have a real bag-thing. So a lot.”

I guess your friends often borrow stuff?

“Actually, no it doesn’t happen. My friends look great, but they don’t have the same love for bags that I do. Their interests are different. For example, I own very little make-up and they spend loads of money on it. Something I would never do.”

HOw did you find this GIVENCHY SMALL PANDORA BAG?

“I went to The Bijenkorf to buy a Cèline bag. It was already sold and I had to buy something. Obviously with great regret once outside. But the colour is so beautiful.”

What is always in your bag?

“Not much. I’ve been carrying mini-bags lately, so even my big purse doesn’t fit. I swapped it for a little CHANEL cardholder. My shades, hair clip and hand cream are always with me. I find a bag in a bag quite handy. That way I can transfer the whole lot if I swap bags. I also stuff items in my pocket if I need to pick a few things up. I locked myself away for the last few weeks, cause I’ve been studying, so haven’t been out much.”

tell me honestly, are you careful with them or do you just toss them in a corner?

“I try to be conscientious with my bags, but I don’t pack them all neatly in a cupboard in dust bags or anything. I have a couple of hooks in the inside of my cupboard and I usually hang them there or somewhere on a clothes rack. Last week Friday we had twenty people over watching football and it got a little crazy. All of a sudden I saw my CHANEL bag flying around. Oops.”

is there another bag on your wish list?

“Of course. I’m nearly graduating and as soon as it’s happened, I’m treating myself to a CHANEL Flap bag. In brown. I’ve been saving and already ordered it because there is only one in the country. Can’t wait.”
