SELFIE GALORE

Guys, it’s all getting out of hand with those selfies. The internet was overflowing with all those duckfaces and subtly shot, self-glorifying portraits, and it’s going way too far. Thanks to Kim K. the ‘belfie’ was suddenly hot: a photo of your bottom, the but-selfie. This week, everyone was suddenly talking about the votefie because it was perfectly fine to take a selfie during voting. Better even, the first sentence of the voting cubicle protocol was “it’s allowed to take a selfie in the cubicle.” But this week, I found a research that made my ears red. Nu.nl stated that “people increasingly take selfies during sex.” Well, it was only a matter of time. Now there’s nothing new in photographing or filming yourself and your partner during The Deed, and uploading this material to the internet is also an old and familiar custom, and sometimes incredibly useful to give your career an extra boost. Paris Hilton, Kim K (here she is again), and even Samantha Jones in Sex And The City made a sex tape with Smith – and that was already in 2004. But now ‘ordinary’ people are also doing it. The research was held under 74,000 people worldwide, and about 60% men against 51 % women admits that they have made a sex selfie. The Brits take the lead, it’s approximately 71% versus 69%. Could we really get more out of hand? There’s even a Twitter account on which you can share these selfies, and that’s, errm, quite intense. I don’t think I can handle it to link to it, but who ever Google’s it will find it in less than two seconds. Though mind: it’s absolutely not safe for work. Or, in internet language, NSFW. Good luck.
