THIS IS HOW YOU’LL FEEL SEXY IN A BIKINI
We’ve been saying it for months, “the bikini season’s coming!” Well ladies and gentlemen, with temperatures like these I think we can safely assume it has finally arrived.Seen that few women ever feel 100 % comfortable in a bikini (logical, you’re walking around practically naked), this Sexy Friday will give you a few tips & tricks to make you feel sexy in your mix and match outfit. I’d be the last person to say you need to accept the way your body looks like. That every flab, dimple or roll “just comes with the package” and that you should embrace and love them. Even I can’t do that (hello Destination Killer body) so I understand completely if things aren’t as easy as that for you. Though what does work is to make sure your body looks as fit as possible.
1. Make an appointment at the waxing salon, brace yourself and ask them to remove everything. Legs, bikini, armpits, everything. It hurts but you’ll enjoy it for six weeks and it greatly contributes to you feeling self confident.
2. When everything’s hair free it’s become time for step two. Start scrubbing, even though you won’t be wearing your bikini for another couple of weeks. Scrubbing removes dead skin cells and gives you a soft skin. Put on some great hydrating body lotion after you’ve scrubbed, and a good dab of skin oil (one from The Bodyshop, for example), and your legs feel silky smooth and winter scales free.
3. Don’t dare to go swimming because you’ve got two milk bottles? Time for some self-bronzer. Sun beds are great but so bad for you that we can’t recommend these, and besides, these days we’ve got super efficient self-bronzers. You can also just go to a tanning salon. They’ll put you in a cubicle and spray paint your entire body with a bronzer. And don’t worry, it happens in the utmost controlled way so you don’t need to fear problems like Ross had in the series Friends (Don’t know what I’m talking about? Check the link, it’s a guaranteed laugh).
4. Make sure you’ve got a bikini you feel good in. I only wear ones with strings that allow you to tighten or loosen it. Bandeau bikinis are pretty but optimally give you more width, and the constant hassle of avoiding a nipple gate doesn’t really contribute to you feeling comfortable. Better choose for halter straps or ‘regular’ straps.
5. Wear accessories! Who says you should only wear a bikini? Throw a couple of pretty bracelets around your wrist and some great necklaces to create a worthy outfit. Pareos are perfect to hide your derriere with.
Check, check? You’re ready for the beach! Enjoy and don’t forget, no one’s perfect.
