I’m mostly drinking juices this week because I’m detoxing. I’d like to cleanse my body twice a year and this is the perfect moment right before the summer because it does help you fit your bikini again. Though that’s of course not the intention of the detox but a great extra. I need to disappoint you, however, all the kilos you lose you instantly gain afterwards. Well, you don’t have to but I’m not planning on eating carrots and drinking juices for the rest of my life. Eat healthily and work out, it makes you look your best. Trust me.
My shake of the day. I always have spinach, kale and avocado because I like that a lot in my juice. A juice of only fruit is filled with sugar (good sugars though!), which aren’t enough to last through the morning. That’s only for an energy boost.
I made a smoothie with avocado today. I could eat those things all day. Delicious and incredibly healthy and nutritious.
THIS WAS IN MY SHAKE:
- I start with a good dash of coconut water. It’s best to first put the juice in the blender because the ingredients will mix faster and better.
- 4 large chunks of pineapple. I always buy entire pineapples, which I peel and cut into cubes. Put the cubes in a tupperware container in the fridge. Very handy because you can eat it for a couple of days and is a great snack.
- Half an avocado
- A good handful of spinach
- A spoon of linseed (good fats and stimulates the digestive system and the bowel movement)
Put everything in the blender and mix.
