Rodarte

It was Los Angeles that inspired Kate and Laura Mulleavy for the spring summer collection of Rodarte. Which is understandable, cause it was L.A. where their empire started in the first place. To be exact, at their parents’ small apartment’s kitchen table. Their mother taught them sewing techniques and her maiden name – Rodarte – inspired them in choosing their label name. If you’re talking about LA, you’re talking about skimpy (because sunny), sexy (because warm), and striking (because highest concentration actors and party people on earth). And they succeeded. Almost absent shorts, wide studded belts, bra-like tops sometimes even with leopard print. We just love it.
