Yesterday, 9straatjesonline (a webshop carrying a.o. the stores Smaak, Skins Cosmetics, Ivy & Liv, Amator, Bikinibiza, Ready to Fish by Ilja Fisher, L’Enfant Terrible, Laundry Industry, and Marlies Dekkers) organised an event at the Dylan Hotel. My favourite hotel in Amsterdam.

AFTER RAIN COMES A MARTINI

I arrived with shoes and my hair drenched. I didn’t mind much, I had a martini cocktail in no-time as I entered the big tent in the court yard. Beautiful girls and boys served delicious bites. I ate a salmon sushi roll and teriyaki saté. The concept was launched by singers and dancing butlers.

THE IDEA

The Dylan’s a lovely hotel that you don’t really have to leave. Tourists of course want to discover Amsterdam, and they’ll often head to the 9 streets. But imagine it’s raining cats and dogs and you’ve already walked so much and feel more like a cocktail in the lounge. Well, tourists can shop at the 9streets online without having to leave their hotel rooms. Better even, it gets delivered the same day. I’d say, isn’t that just perfect?
