Fashion

I dreamed about Diane von Furstenberg last night. We were drinking rosé with crushed ice (my dream self found it quite tasty, so I’m going to try it out this afternoon), and talking about TV and men (I think she must have a tantalising  love-cv, and I want to know all about it). We were then transported home on a yacht, carried by crane on the back of a truck, through the streets of New York. Me to my hotel in Greenwich and she to her studio in the Meatpacking District, above the DvF headquarters.

The yacht on the back of a truck is a little far-fetched, but the rest could totally have happened. Diane von Furstenberg has a wonderful mix of charming European roots and the I-can-do-everything attitude of a New Yorker. If you’d like to organise something with Diane on short notice, and she likes the idea, one telephone call to her fantastic communication bureau is usually sufficient.

Diane is fashion royalty with a touch of naughtiness. You must know that the USP of her famous wrap dress is that you can put it on without waking the man sleeping in the hotel bed next to you? No complicated zippers and stuff, just pull it on and leave. On to the next adventure.

These accessories could not be more DvF. I want them all but I’m going to wait till tonight to dream about them in detail.
