Powder balls from Guerlain

The discover of the century was launched in 1987 in my opinion. Me that is, (joking), no it was the Guerlain powder balls. They might almost have been made especially for me, anyway they’ve become very special to me and I’m a huge fan. That is why I’m writing this as an ode to the little darlings.

What are they? A loose powder in the form of colourful pearls, also known as meteorites. The pearls have candy colours like mint green, soft pink, peach and lilac. Not for nothing either, cause they all have a function. The green balls work against redness in the skin, pink gives a healthy glow and white neutralises. The colours together equal a wonderful glow. Guerlain, also known as the architect of light, ensures that our skin remains the star of the show.

Okay, so that was my song of praise about the balls themselves, but I’m not finished. The box is just as beautiful. The Météorites Perles de Poudre are packaged in a new tin with every new collection, every half year.

The tins themselves are collectors items. The lids are illustrated with beautiful drawings or with gorgeous text. They look fabulous on your hatstand.

Finally. The fragrance. This is inseparable from Guerlain. From the first moment I held them in my hands, I imagined myself, excuse the cliché, as part of the universe. The smell like violets. Fresh and cheerful. You’ll want them with you all day long. Like me.
