Diptyque scented candles
At the moment of writing this, the heavens have opened and it is raining hard. Admittedly, I’m not minding that much because I prefer that it rains all day long when I’m working indoors. I mean I can’t enjoy outside anyway. I always find the rain quite cosy. You feel like pulling out a warm jersey and lighting candles. The first is unnecessary though because it is steaming hot inside, but the latter can be done whenever, even in the middle of summer. There is no deadline on lighting a great scented candle.
Ever since I’ve known May-Britt (which is a long time), she’s been hooked on the scented candles from Diptique. At first I thought it was a little exaggerated, because she loved burning them at every moment of the day, wherever. I thought is was a little bit of a sin because of the price tag. I have to admit though, I am now a huge fan. I once got given one as a gift that I used very sparingly. I would light it for 5 minutes and then blow it out, this way I could enjoy it for an hour as the scent radiated through the room. I also save the empty Diptique glasses, because the shape is so beautiful and looks pretty with even a little tea light in it. Although not quite the same effect.
Scented candles only for winter? Nope, you’re wrong. The scent Baies for example is a real summer smell. On days like this, sorely needed, and you can bring a little sun and sea into your life even if it is raining buckets outside. Oh, I’ll survive it like this for sure. Told you I didn’t mind the rain.
