– Eight Hour Cream –

Ask a beauty-editor what she always has in her bag, and nine times out of ten the answer will be the Eight Hour Cream from Elizabeth Arden. It has become a cult product, and won more than 20 international prizes to boot. How has it become such a classic and evolved into such an amazing product? I’m going to explain.

The cream was developed by, yes, Elizabeth Arden in 1930. She wanted a product that gave a softness and glow to the skin. A lady smeared it on her child’s grazed knee, and within 8 hours it had healed. Wound totally gone. Hence the name. Eight Hour Cream.

The skin heals very quickly due to the combination of different ingredients, including Vitamin E. Perfect for dry lips, small wounds or other irritations. These days it gets used for all manner of things, like on your eyebrows to keep them in shape, to tame frizzy hair, as a highlighter on your cheekbones or as a gloss on the eyelids.

This truly is a miracle cream. Penelope Cruz swears by it, but so do our own Céline Purcell and Charlotte ten Brink, who never leave home without it. So you can see, it has become a standard item in the beauty-toolkit. Not yet an addict?

You know what to do.
