– Estée Lauder Pure Color Nail Lacquer –

If it looks like we’re honouring Estée Lauder today, you’re paying attention. Not intentionally, but when I was thinking about which style icon I wanted to put in the spotlight today, this extremely beautiful nail polish from their brand popped into my head. Not knowing that Liesbeth had filled her entire suitcase with the same brand. Estée Lauder has plenty to offer, we all know that, but for now I’m writing an ode to this little nail polish.

Let’s begin with the lacquer itself, not unimportant of course. The little brush is wide. Perfect for a good painting ritual. One stroke and your nails are covered in a layer of polish. You need to be patient with the drying process, because the polish is slightly thicker, but you only need one layer and the colour is true to what it looks like in the bottle. Living up to its name; Pure Color.

They have an extensive range of colours. 50 colours to choose from with extraordinary names. If you’re not sure what mood you’re in or feel like being in, just cast a glance at the names of their colours and you’ll soon know. From Envious, to Chaos (with glitter!) to Enchanted Garnet; something for everyone. My favourite is Ballerina Pink, always a hit.

If you get your hands on a bottle of this nail polish, you have a beautiful colour at your fingertips, but also a bottle that you say Ma’am to. I mean, look at it and you’ll see what I mean. The bottle is heavy, but it radiates quality. The bottle is made of thick glass, has a golden lid and somewhere in the middle is the polish. It’s looks alone are iconic. Très chique.
