Fashion month is over. And everyone is kind of happy. Journalists, Kim and Kanye, hair and make-up artists but most especially the models because man o man, they have been busy. Now it is time for bed, a plate of food and proud reflection on the runway ranking, because we can happily conclude that the Dutch girls are in the highest regions of the Runway Ranking.

Not only the Dutch model who walked the best, no Maartje also has the letters WD (World Domination) behind her name. She walked the most shows of all models over the world. 66 to be be precise. She opened 4 and closed (also prestigious) 5. Maartje turned 17 during fashion week (celebrated with a cake that Victoria Beckham delivered personally) so we’ll be enjoying her for a long, long time.

If you mention Maartje, then your mind very quickly turns to Julia because these Dutchies walk in almost exactly the same shows (although Maartje was booked for 15 more shows) and are good friends in their private lives too. Smart, sober, warm Dutch girls. That gets you places. Julia shone in 51 shows, was asked to open shows 4 times and walked at the head of the finale parade 6 times.

Lieke is one of those wonderfully sober girls that rolled into the business because a girlfriend gave her up for the Elite Model Look. That slim body is natural. She’s one of those girls who gets thin very easily, eats whatever she wants and never does any sport. Yes, yes they do exist. At this moment she enjoys doing catwalk and still shoots and has cautious ambitions about maybe making an appearance at Victoria’s Secret. Bregje Heijnen could give her a few tips since they’re at the same agency after all.
