These days. They’re meant for relaxation I believe, but they are so stressful. I typed holes in my laptop this week trying to get all the Christmas posts prepared.
I also ran the red soles off my shoes (we have a large office you know) to jump on the couriers. They arrived every day with another package. Chanel (annual highlight), Dior (idem), a crate full of the very best items from ByDanie (mini-fondue set, chopping board, amazing candle holders, vouchers for yoga lessons, healthy nuts, a Christmas package the way it should be), Smythson thank you cards from Sisley and a personal tea mug for everyone from Maartje Verhoef.
And now we still need to have our Sint-Christmas celebration for the office. We drew names from a hat and as you read this, we’ve already celebrated it, so I can tell you that I got Jet. My poem is finished and I still need to hurry to town to buy her a gift. In the madness.
My agenda was extremely packed for this week (I also have three daughters with their own super full Christmas programs), yet I made it a little more difficult by agreeing to give a reading. In Leeuwarden. Intern Yvette and I drove Twingo over the afsluitdijk in dark rainy weather. I had a genuine stair-entrance (you know, first walk up stairs and then down stairs into the hall) and had an hour to talk about how-this-all-happened. The students had prepared a gorgeous little table for Yvette and me with healthy salad and delicious juice. When Yvette pointed out the posters and buttons with my name on it, Leeuwarden raced to the top of my list. A flower and a bottle of herb drink for later and Twingo brought us back home again.
Twingo has had quite a wild week because our super interns went out to hand out Amayzine cards. In the category Christmas and normal and going places. Maybe you’ll see one of them around.
