The world’s most beautiful beaches
I enjoy a good beach. Art and culture are unmissable during any holiday, but I can just as easily spend seven days lying on the sand. Are you still searching for that one perfectly flat stretch of beach? Take a look at the following beaches.
Rarotonga
The main island of the Cook Island group, but still tiny. About a three hour flight from Auckland in New Zealand and with a climate that reaches 25 degrees in winter, a beloved holiday spot for Kiwis, and they go en masse. Rarotonga is as round as a pancake with a high mountain in the middle, surrounded by almost impenetrable jungle and many heavenly beaches. For those who are not so handy with public transport, this island offers the perfect solution. Two busses ride around the island, one is called ‘clockwise’ the other, yes, ‘anticlockwise’. You can’t catch the wrong one.
The Hamptons
Every girl wants to go The Hamptons, because we all have a TV and all our TV-heroines, from Carrie and Samantha to Blair and Serena, all go to The Hamptons. The very binge-able on TV-series Revenge is even filmed around (and on) The Hamptons. The beach for rich New Yorkers and opportunistic wannabes, with homes as large as small villages, and parties so legendary that My Super Sweet Sixteen pales in comparison. Of course you want to go The Hamptons! I’ll join you.
