THE MOST CLICHÉ POSES On THE INTERNET

For those who frequent fashion blogs, Instagram, and other self-glorifying platforms, a pattern is easy to discover in the poses they tend to do. A peace sign, thumbs up (which I hate contrary to Jet who does so without a peep), tongue sticking out of the mouth (thanks for that Miley), and a finger in your mouth (like Yolanthe does in the latest Cosmopolitan and what especially May-Britt detests passionately).

I tend to get spots in my neck over EVERYONE that makes a jump while being on some Thailand beach, legs bowed, hands in the air, and a peace sign. Or bloggers who hang against a wall with one foot leaning against it, arms behind their backs, and their eyes towards infinity. Or a action shot in which they walk through the image and looking subtly downwards because, oh hey, a photographer, such a coincidence. And then there’s the Victoria Beckham pose, legs crossed, hands in her side, and hips thrusted forwards. Barf. It’s all the same! So not original! I dove into the studio with Jet to copy the most copied poses so let it be a lesson. Guilty of doing one of these yourself? Stop. Honestly because we’ll hunt you down and punish you personally.
